The Problem: Apparel Was a Burden, Not a Benefit
Kevin has been running CrossFit Kokomo for years. Like most gym owners, he wanted to offer his members quality branded apparel — the kind that builds community, drives revenue, and gets his logo out in the world.
But the process of actually making it happen? That was a different story.
Before working with Forever Fierce, CrossFit Kokomo relied on a local print shop. And while the shop did fine work, the entire burden of the apparel program fell on Kevin and his coaching staff. They were responsible for coming up with designs, choosing colors, deciding how many units to order, and managing every step of the process — none of which is in a gym owner's wheelhouse.
"It became a very overwhelming process," Kevin explains, "where it made us as a gym not want to deal with the orders and deal with doing apparel."
That's a problem that quietly costs gym owners thousands of dollars a year. When apparel feels like a headache, you stop doing it. And when you stop doing it, you lose a revenue stream, a community-building tool, and a walking advertisement every time a member wears your gear.
The Turning Point: Finding Forever Fierce
Kevin found Forever Fierce in late 2018, and by his own description, it "changed the game completely."
The shift wasn't just about convenience — it was about expertise. Forever Fierce handles the parts of apparel that gym owners aren't trained to do: design, product selection, timing, pre-order structure, and quantity guidance.
"They send us designs. If we love them, we don't make changes. If we want to make subtle changes, or if we don't like the designs they give us, we just say, 'Hey, we're looking for something different. What else you got?'"
That's it. That's the process. Kevin reviews, gives feedback, and approves. Everything else is handled.
What Changed for CrossFit Kokomo
The stress disappeared. Kevin no longer has to think about design, quantities, or timing. Forever Fierce provides guidance on all of it — including when to sell (timing matters; you don't want to launch sweatshirts in December when it's already cold in Indiana).
Members actually want the apparel now. This is the part most gym owners miss: your members want to support your brand. They want to wear your logo. They just need to be given something worth buying. When the designs are good and the process is smooth, sales follow naturally.
The pre-order model removes financial risk. No upfront inventory. No guessing how many units to order. Members pre-order what they want, and production is based on actual demand.
Kevin's Advice to Gym Owners Still on the Fence
"If you guys are a gym owner whose members want apparel — because if you don't think they want to support your gym and your brand, I promise you they do — you just have to give them something that they want. Something they're going to be excited to order. Something they're going to be proud to represent."
Kevin's overall rating: 500 out of 10.
"Working with Matt takes all the pressure off the affiliate owner. If you're on the fence, give them a call. Talk with them and see what the best option could be for you."
Why This Matters for CrossFit Affiliate Owners Specifically
CrossFit affiliate owners face a unique challenge: they're operators, coaches, programmers, marketers, and community builders all at once. Apparel is important, but it can't be a part-time job on top of everything else.
Forever Fierce was built specifically for this reality. The entire system — from design to pre-order to delivery — is structured so that the gym owner's time investment is minimal and the result is apparel their members will actually wear.
If your current apparel process feels like a burden, that's a solvable problem.
